THE POSITION OF A WARRIOR PRINCESS'

GIRL'S WITH SWORDS

What position should a warrior princess take?
 __ __ __ __ L ___ ___!

Think hard.  What position did Jesus take at the cross?  I am not going to make this easy.  It's hard to do but takes Godly character.  Its not weakness but a submissive heart to your King Jesus.  After you figure this word out go to the Bible and look the word up and then send me some verses.  You can go to the dictionary and look the meaning up.  Respond to my blog so we can keep going.

It is Thanksgiving and I am thankful for who you are and excited to watch what God does in your life's:)

Kisses,
your Crazy Grandma

Girl's with swords-targets

FIGHTERS KNOW THEIR TARGETS

If you are a Christian you are a target of satan the enemy of the prince of darkness. So it is important you know what it means to be a target. Target means to take aim, goal, objective, and intention.

I use to tell Matt and Ashley that satan like to bait them.  What does that mean?  Matt aims to be a great athelete. He practices, he spends time focusing on the challenge. Let's look at fishing. He spends time reading, studying, hanging out with friends who have the same interest.  He knows where to go, what bait the fish likes. He even spends time making his own hooks because he has figured the fish out, what he likes and then catches them.

We are like the fish. We get bigger, faster, smarter and thinks know one will catch us! Satan knows how to bait us too. He has made his aim to DISTRACT us from who we really are and what our purpose really is. He wants to lure us off the path of strength and authority and onto a course of intentional destruction.  You see the enemy know who we are, "Christian". The battles and difficult challenges we have is really not about us. It's not even our battle. The battle belongs to the Lord. We are His weapons of light in a dark world.  The enemy is working hard to distracts us so we will never give birth to God's plan for your life.  His Word is powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. We will learn how to use our swords, which is the Word of God. Until next time little MEEPS!
Know you are loved and being prayed for.

kisses,
 Your Crazy Grandma

GIRLS WITH SWORDS

GIRLS WITH SWORDS

HOW TO CARRY YOUR CROSS LIKE A HERO

If there was ever a time for women to be armed, it's now! But why do girls need swords?
Worldwide, women are targets of sex trafficking, abuse and gendercide.  The dragon is seeking to slay and disarm a generation of women. But women have the ability to overcome that evil and stand courageous, discerning, forgiving, and wise.

The Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword, dividing the word of truth for us to be powerful in prayer and have wisdom from above. God wants to make sure women of all ages are armed to be HERO'S!!

My little MEEPS you are hero's in Christ and with His Spirit living in your hearts you are free and powerful when you learn how to use His sword! Take courage, "greater is He that is in you"!

praying for you always,
your crazy grandma :)

GOOD MORNING MEEPS!

El Shaddai………………what kind of word is that?  Well,  its a name!  Who's name?  GUESS……………………………………………. OK WHAT THE ANSWER?

The name of God - El Shaddai - means, "the all sufficient  one"  El Shaddai is the God who is enough!

We try to find happiness, acceptance and look to things or other people to make us happy but to be honest we are all sinners in God's eyes which means we are not perfect.  I hate to tell you that I will disappoint you, your parents, friends, cousins, school, teachers, whoever…they will disappoint you.

When you are stressed and hurting run to El Shaddai the all sufficient ONE who will meet all your needs thru prayer and reading the Bible.

Read a Proverb a day and He will show you how to live:)

Love you lots,
crazy grandma

HEARING THEIR HEARTS

good morning my little MEEPS!

Now if any of you lack wisdom, YOU should ask
God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him

James 1:5

Sometimes it is easy to speak or yell out our feelings, but God says He understands but that we should ask Him for wisdom on what to say or how to handle the situation.  He loves us and is ready to help without criticizing us.

Look up to the One who loves you and wants to help.  He's waiting for you to come to him and ask.

"Father, God help us to be sensitive to what others are thinking and feeling, guide me to hear their hearts like You do, so I can minister to them in a godly way"

love you Meeps!
praying for you
your crazy grandma :)

Attitude check

Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus
(Philippians 2:5)

God knows that we have a tendency to complain, but He wants His children to respond to our circumstances in a way that will bring Him glory.  If we're we're frustratedd or irritated, we need to set our feelings aside and ask God how He wants us to respond.  If we allow Him to work in our lives so we can become more Christ-like, we will find ourselves being more grateful for what we have instead of complaining about what
 we don't have.

"Dear Father, help me and my girl's to keep our attitude in check and remember to be thankful for You give us and for what we have.  Watch over and keep a hedge about my girl's the Meep's"

love you,
The crazy grandma!

Antiques Vintage Collection

"Antiques Vintage Collection"

Today driving the sign in the antique store said, "Antiques Vintage Collection". I had seen that sign a hundred times but today God read it to me:)

Antiques to me means "old." Vintage means over 50 years. Collection means collecting dust, sitting on a shelf. A has been item, that is fragile if handled roughly and has been used up and no good anymore except to look at and remember!

That's a pretty good description of me over the last 5 years.  If you moved me, my bones may break, they do ache and if you shook me I might come a part.  You certainly would see the dust I have collected from the world falling around me.  God knows He needs to push me off that shelf to break me or knock some sense into me.

This morning I met a friend for coffee. I gave her a beautiful antique silver pitcher I found on the "Goodwill shelf". It was beautifully made. The etching in the design was classic and elegant. It had forged marking inside of who the creator was, but was woren off in parts. You could tell it had a long life of use by the shape it was in. It was woren, discolored, tarnished and of no use to the owner any more. Tossed away by the owner but not trashed. Too good to throw totally away, but hopeful that it would find a good home out there for someone!

I am that pitcher! Once made to pour out God's love into others . I loved serving my family, church and community.  Today I am sitting on the shelf of  life called "Goodwill". When you look at me, you can defiantly see I am a antique in the today's church.... vintage for sure. I have to admit I have climbed up to the shelf on my own to hide and rest, just for a bit I thought. Now it has been 5 years and  I  have become comfortable there.  If you moved me, I am sure there would be enough dust to choke you.

I know God wants to fill me again. I am that pitcher, hammered out through the trials of life. Strong and still of use. I might be vintage but still beautiful etched by the hand of God! There's still some life in me, too good to throw out....still solid, unbreakable, fired in the furnace of life, usable to be filled again and willingly to be pour out for His Glory!

Amen!

TRASH PICKUP

October 17, 2011

Have you ever driven by and picked through peoples trash on the night of bulk pick up.........you know, the stuff on  the curb?  It is trash pick up in Waxhaw and I have been sitting on the curb for several days and the only one who sees any value in this piece of a person was God.....yes, God always shows up!

To be honest I recently was the "Crazy Grandma" that was in mental and emotional distressed with the circumstances of this life.

My friend and I make up our own life group and meet every other Friday to share and pray. As I got to pick out our study and wanting to go cheap,  I went to the used bookstore and picked up 2 books, 50 cents a piece, "The five people you meet in heaven".

It amazes me how God speaks.

My devotional for the day , sent me running to God!

Hebrews 12:1
let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

Stanza 1:

O Lord my God,
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all
The works Thy Hand hath made,
I see the stars,
I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy pow'r throughout
The universe displayed;

 Refrain:
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!

As far as the"five people you will meet in heaven" that IS ANOTHER MESSAGE in it's self!

The character, Eddie  is old and 45 minutes from dying. As he reflects on life there is a statement,

"He went about his dull routine as if all the days in the world were still to come"

"Many times he had longed to leave this place, find different work, build another kind of life. His plans never worked out a. In time, he found himself graying and wearing looser pants and in a state of weary acceptance"  (sounds like me)

The first person he meets in heaven is the "Blue man".

He reminds Eddie that " the greatest gift God can give you: to understand what happened in your life. To have it explained.  It is the peace you have been searching for."

WOW!

The second person he meets in heaven is his "Captain" from the war.

"A soldier reaches a certain point and then he can't go any more. Sometimes it is in the middle of the night.  A man'll just roll out of his tent and start walking, barefoot, half naked, like he's going home, like he lives just around the corner. Sometimes it's in the middle of a fight. man'll drop his gun and his eyes go blank. He's just done. He can't fight anymore and usually gets shot. (yes Lord I am listening)

"Dying? Not the end of everything. We think it is. But what happens on earth is only the beginning."

Sooooooo cool God!

Finally the blue cast is off!

I was so excited to get the cast off and scrub my leg!

It was unbelievable how much dead skin came off that foot! Two months of not washing is pretty disgusting!

They removed the steri-strips, put me in a boot and sent me home to soak and debris my incision. It looks good and the incision is clean, closed and a smooth scar.

I went to work on Monday to do my half of day and decide to walk (in my boot without crutches) about 300 yards (from one side of the building to the other) thinking this is good for my foot but suddenly my foot started to hurt. I called from our kitchen area to the other side of the office and begged them to bring me my chariot (leg caddy). By that evening my foot was screaming purple, swollen, sore and throbbing at the bottom of my heal where they place  a screw!  After sticking my foot into the cold swimming pool, icing it as it was elevated, the next morning my foot was still purple and throbbed as I put my foot on the ground. I could not go to work and went back to bed and slept till 1pm......I have no idea why I am exhausted......... I haven't done that much in 2 months.

I went to work today and decided not to use my chariot, but to walk with the crutches applying light weight to the foot instead of 200# as I did the day before ............Yes I was not thinking and now that I do think about it, the  Dr told me that recovery would take longer than the usual Achilles rupture................and that recovery takes a year. So how long is this one gonna take..............I need to be patient and do a little at a time.......I should have tipped myself off from last Saturday as I helped Ashley paint....what could go wrong scooting around on the floor cutting in the woodwork and the windows...........swelling, lots of it!   I am a hard learner!

Until next time!

Waiting

I have never been good at waiting. I don't like it, but then again I could get use to laying around doing nothing.......that's a scary thought.

I thought during this 6 week period (so far ) that I would write, send notes, or spend time in God's word and grow a little in my spiritual journey, but I have not. I have not been motivated to do much of anything but rest.

Is it true the Achilles tendon is the strongest tendon in a persons body?  In my life it unexpectedly  snapped in two.  I had some warnings that my heal and leg was not healthy. I ignored those warnings like I have ignored my spiritual life. For years my foot bothered me. I saw a Podiatrist once and tried wearing a big blue plastic boot at night which it did help, but it was too uncomfortable to sleep so I gave that up. My heal had a spur on the back of it large enough to cause me to limp in the mornings, but I would work thru it. For years my heal would rubbed the fabric off the inside of my tennis shoe. I went to a larger size in hopes that I would be more comfortable. It helped but did not solve the problem. I bought inserts for my shoes but that only helped some. The real issue was that I needed surgery, but I had justified it by believing I could not take time off work or spend the money to have this looked at and fixed.

My spiritual life is just like this. I look for temporary fixes.  When I really need surgery!!! I have relied on my spiritual Achilles tendon. I 'm a strong christian.  I won't do........or ................ I am grounded in the Word of God. I have study it and have taught it...........but unexpectedly could MY FAITH snap? Could I snap that quickly and compromise my standards?

Complacency, I am complacent. I have been living in the grey area that God hates. He says He would rather me be hot or cold but not lukewarm.  I am a lukewarm christian and could snap in a second if I am not careful.  God has given me warnings along my spiritual walk about this very issue.

It's like looking down this blue cast of mine. I have lost 1&1/2 inches from around my calf, compared to the healthy calf. When they first put the cast on it was tight, it was snug.  Within 6 weeks I can almost put both hands down in it.....It's like being spiritual mature, tight with God and over time my spiritual muscle has turned to flab like my calf muscle.  I have slowly moved away from what I know is good for me.  I have stopped exercising my spiritual muscle.  I pray, I have devotions sometimes, I don't have a desire to go to church like I use to........it's subtle changes...and I know that fingerprint..... Satan! He is subtle (like in the garden of Eden), suggesting, tempting, allowing complacency, being comfortable. I  see the red flags but do not act on them........ so I too could compromise God's truths.

I look at our country, the world, the blatant attack on American values. Our faith, propaganda that is brainwashing and seducing our children and our grandchildren away from our christian values. I see it in the television programs they watch, books, culture it's self.....Satan is seducing all of us into liberal theology that teaches that we need to be tolerant of all men and be loving towards all faiths. Some believe that all faiths lead to the same God.  My Bible does not say that though. Jesus said, "No man comes to the Father but by Me"

God is love.  He is a Holy God, a just God and a God of wrath. He is not to be mocked! The last I read in God's word was that we are to love God with all our heart mind and soul, but He is also a jealousy God and desires our devotion and love to Him and Him alone!

I am thankful that God got my physical attention by allowing this accident to happen so that I could take care of this foot issue.  I pray that I am not so stubborn that He would allow a spiritual Achilles to rupture to get my spiritual attention! It is clear........turn from my wicked ways!

Will I choose to be hot or cold?  To stay lukewarm would require Him to spew me out of His mouth like a bitter cup of vinegar!

My recent Outings!

I finally got out and even had my own cart!
Kim and Matt in their cart and I had my own!

Last week I went on my first outing. I got to drive my own cart and did some sight seeing as they played.  Funny to watch them both.....they both getting excited when making the great plays and disgusted when the ball does its own thing! Matt can kill the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY SECOND OUTING

My sisters! Diva, Princess, Baby & Brat! They're the best!

These ladies planned, planned and planned for a full day together.  Our times together was full of laughter!

They arrived at my houses around 7:30 am with balloons on the SUV and all kinds of stuff written on every window!  We drove all over Charlotte this way. They started by giving me clues on ever destination they had planned. They had a wheel chair which was thoughtful but they had no foot rest on this chair so either I was going to drag my feet or hold them up..............but the crutches and the leg caddy were my legs!

Our first stop was at Lake Norman where we took a boat ride and had lunch........it was fun! the picture will speak for themselves.

Laura & Kim

Lisa  & Laura

From here we drove to the Billy Graham Library! I was encourage and blessed learning about the life of Billy Graham!

Swag Sisters

It's been a long day! Diva had to sit between Baby and Princess discussing on how to tell the truth. Diva only wants a birthday card!

Our next stop was the Flying Biscuit for Dinner, they signed my cast and then they took me to Walmart to make fun of me in the little motor cart!  What a great day!

See Diva and Brat are trying to take my picture driving this cart so that Brat can post it on facebook:)

Before and After photos: Designers, Mady, Emma & Ellie

Last night we had a sleep over.........it's the last night before school starts. My Granddaughters are pretty good helpers.  We had fun, they swam and swam and swam until their skin curled up! By the end of the night my foot and knee was achy. I think riding around on the scooter carrying weight of 500 lbs......would do it.  Good to have extra pain pills around!

I have enclosed pictures of  Ellie, Emma and Mady. Mady is the greatest floater in the family. Emma is our dare devil (like her dad) and Ellie is unsure who to trust in the pool!

My next appointment to remove this blue cast is not until 9/17...............seems like a year from now!

PS  Ashley's closing has been moved to next Monday :)
